| Imperial Lilies of the Valley Egg.
Fabulous recreation of the Easter
Egg given to Tsarina Alexandra from her husband Tsar Nicholas II in
1898. From 1895 until 1916, the Tsar commissioned two Easter eggs
annually, one for his wife and one for his mother. Transparent coral
enameling over engraved guilloche background. Luminous transparent
emerald green leaves. Set with jewel-cut Austrian gemstones, and faux
seed pearls. Gold layered finish. The Faberge "surprise" is a pop-up
display of three oval frames with pictures of Tsar Nicolas II and his two eldest daughters, Grand
Duchess Olga and Grand Duchess Tatiana. Measures approx: 4.5" tall
closed, 6.5" in height opened. This egg is sold separately, or as part of a
matched set with the
Lilies of the Valley enamel frame.

Large jewelry box in the grand style of Peter Carl Faberge. Hand
enameled on a pewter base, then gold plated. Baked, polished and set
with over 100 genuine Austrian lead crystal jewels banding the egg
vertically and horizontally. The crystals are set together without
spaces. 6.5" tall on a separate stand with three upright lions holding up egg. Top
lifts open to store jewelry. Weighs over 1.5 pounds. Deep blue.
