Faberge Easter Egg Lilies of the Valley.
The Russian Shop / Maison Russe 800-778-9404

An elegant reproduction of the sumptuous Faberge designed Art Nouveau Easter Egg that was originally given in 1898 to the Russian Empress Tsarina Alexandra by her husband Tsar Nicholas II. It was one of the most beloved gifts of the young Empress. Highlights of the egg include translucent emerald enamel leaves and climbing gold sprays of lily of the valley set with dozens of jewel-cut Austrian gemstones and covered with elegant faux pearls. These are set off by translucent coral enamel over a precisely engraved guilloche background. The "surprise" is three portraits of Tsar Nicolas II and his two oldest daughters, Grand Duchess Olga and Grand Duchess Tatiana, who meant the world to the Tsarina. The portraits are surmounted by the Russian Imperial crown. Approximately 4 1/2" (6 1/2" with frames extended).
