The Trinity Lavra of St Sergius Trinity-Sergieva Lavra, in the town of Sergiev-Posad, is the largest and most important monastery in Russia. It was founded by St. Sergius of Radonezh in the year 1340. Russia's most famous icon The Holy Trinity by Rublev is the central icon in the Trinity Cathedral's iconostasis. Currently, the Lavra is home to over 300 monks. This is a vintage lithograph print (not a copy) which has been matted and then mounted
