     Vladimir Serdyukov (1924-2003) was a talented artist whose main artistic output consisted of colored wood engravings. He also worked in woodcut restoration. He was an Associate Professor and taught drawing (LISI College, Mukhina). His work was mainly devoted to Leningrad in the style of Socialist Realism. Subject: Griboyedov Canal in Leningrad. Color woodcut, 4 3/4" x 6 1/4", signed in pencil on the right side and date 1976. Overall dimensions are 7 3/4" x 10". Framed under glass in the original stamped metal frame. Condition of engraving is excellent, a deep impression. Frame has some rust on the corners on the back.
