| #68 Scarlet Flower. Igor Evmenenko. Fedoskino. 1970s. ![]() | Evmenenko, born in 1949, is an important artist of
the Fedoskino school. He was born in the village of Marino in the Moscow
region. In 1968 Igor obtained a distinction at the Fedoskino Art School,
where he studied under V.D. Antonov, V.F. Baranov and S.V. Moshmanov. In
1970 Igor began to produce original "author" works in the traditions of
Fedoskino lacquer miniatures, Many of his works are preserved in the
museum of the Fedoskino workships: "The Little Humpbacked Horse",
"Troika", "Tsar Saltan" and many more. His prefered themes are fairy
tales, genre scenes and landscapes. Evmenenko also worked as a teacher
in his own Fedoskino School from 1975 to 1991, and received the
prestigious "For the Achievements of the Motherland" award in 1995.
