Emelyushka. Emelya (Emelia) is a character from the Russian fairy tale "The Magic Pike". He is a bit lazy and a bit foolish, but one day manages to pull a huge pike from out of the river. With a set of magic words ("By will of the Pike, do as I like"), Emelyushka managed to impress even the Tsar himself. This doll figure was produced in the 1980s at the Moscow Toy Factory. Emelya he has a painted PVC face and PVC shoes. Assembled by hand with nicely detailed period clothing. 6 1/2" tall. Included is the original silk screened box which is in good condition with the top flaps missing and some tape on the bottom.
