A
doll from the limited-edition series produced by the Alexandra Company in Moscow about 8 years ago. The Merchant Family was the creation of
well-known Russian doll designer, Alexandra Koukinova. The dolls were
produced from three separate molds and were made of hand-painted
porcelain. The life-like porcelain face, hands and boots appear as if
real. The exquisitely-detailed 17th century period costume was hand sewn using genuine fur trim and dyed wool.
