The first doll is very detailed. Dolls include the Easter icon (The Resurrection) and Christ blessing with His arms extended. Woodburnt artwork with gold leaf enhancements. Made in Sergiev Posad (Russia) in 2010. 5 nest, 6 3/4" to 2".

Pyrography, also known as pokerwork or wood burning, is the artistic technique of decorating wood with a heated tool. Pyrography literally means "writing with fire". Beautiful and subtle effects are achieved in sepia and textured dark and light strokes make a bold and dramatic design on the wood.
