These wonderful cat-themed Matryoshka dolls are painted and signed by the gifted Russian artist, Tatiana Vzdorova. Tatiana resides in Rostov-on-the-Don (Russia), a city about 500 miles south of Moscow. Tatiana pays great attention to details in all her creations. All her themes are her unique designs and she rarely duplicates a doll, preferring to stay fresh by creating each doll anew. These are not, by any stretch of the imagination, standard tourist dolls sold throughout Russia, nor are they, (sad to say), the more insidious "decal" dolls that have been coming from out of Russia and elsewhere. Each is fully painted, using all the available space, including even the bottoms. Each piece is finished with several coats of crystal-clear lacquer. Each is unique and a true keepsake.
