"Charlie Chaplin"Before the break-up of Communism, Soviet leadershiip allowed Charlie Chaplin movies to be widely shown in movie theaters throught the USSR. Chaplin's humor was mostly physical and he satirized Hitler and Fascism. Due to widespread visibility, Chaplin became a beloved celebrity in Russia. This doll is an artist's original by a Moscow artist, Oleg Savchuk, painted in 1992. Bright colors with a shiny lacquer finish. 8", 7 nest.
