We present here a selection of unusual matryoshka dolls from Russia that were formed around ecclesiastical themes. We divided this category into two sections: the first with dolls that have churches painted or decorated on them, and the second, dolls with icons. Just about every dolll here is unique and most are one-of-a-kind. They span the years 1990 to the present day.
