Russian Filigree
Tea Glass Holders

A Russian tea glass holder, or, as it's known in Russian, podstakannik, literally means "under the glass". It is a traditional way of serving and drinking Russia's national drink, hot tea. We carry exquisite, pure silver-plated over copper, filigree holders. Each is hand made in the artisan village of Mstera, renown for other delicate art, such as fine miniature painting and intricate lacework. In fact, the filigree on each holder is reminiscent of a lacework style known as "bobbin lace". With each holder a standard glass (made in Russia) is included. Approximately 5" tall.
